Setting Love in Order

Mario Bergner

In print for almost twenty years, Setting Love in Order is both an inductive and deductive treatment of how unwanted same-sex attractions may be overcome through faith in Jesus Christ and prayer informed by insights from depth psychology. Two threads run throughout the book. The first is the inductive telling of Fr. Mario’s story, as well as a few others, about their process as Christians facing a variety of life-controlling afflictions.

The second is the deductive explanation of the theology, psychology and practices that can lead any person into freedom from debilitating struggles to freedom for mature spiritual and emotional health.
