Host Conferences

Redeemed Lives (RL) offers a variety of conferences, all of which bring people into the healing and saving  embrace of Jesus Christ.  We have conferences designed for churches, university students and Christian leaders.  Below you will find a brief description of the content of our various conference offerings.  If you would like information about hosting a conference, please contact us.

For Churches we offer three different weekend conferences, in addition to Mario's testimony of coming out of homosexuality woven into a Sunday morning sermon.

+ Setting Love In Order - The need for healing is often the need for reordering love.  In this seminar we will draw near to God, as He has drawn near to us in Christ Jesus.  There, in His presence, we can lift up our hearts to His love and truth.  Through worship, teaching and healing prayer we shall receive from Jesus His healing touch that brings the cure to the soul that sets love in order. Lectures include: The Presence Of God With Us and Within Us, The Holy Christian Imagination, The Sense of Being and The Healing Of Memories.  This conference begins on a Friday night and ends on Saturday before dinner.  Mario has given this conference throughout the USA and Europe.

+ The Shepherd's Voice - Using the Bible as the basis for hearing God, this seminar explores the age-old discipline of lectio divina, praying the Holy Scriptures.  Mario Bergner draws from Dallas Willard's book Hearing God: Developing a Conversational Relationship with God, and uses the five different types of prayer (praise, thanksgiving, intercession, petition and forgiveness) contained within the Lord's Prayer as a model of speaking with God. Other prayer exercises include listening for the healing word, bringing up desires of the heart and applying forgiveness.  We provide a companion workbook that contains lecture notes as well as worksheets for the various prayer exercises conducted throughout the day.  This seminar occupies one day, from 9am-5pm with a lunch break.

+ Burning Hearts and Opened Eyes - Mario weaves his testimony of coming out of homosexuality into an exegetical sermon on the road to Emmaus narrative found in Luke 24:13-34. It illustrates how God reveals His Son Jesus to us through His Presence coming alongside us, the Scriptures and the Lord's Supper. Mario has given this sermon in numerous churches including St. Aldate's in Oxford, England; St. Francis Chapel, Kampala, Uganda; South Shore Community Church in Boston; and Church of the Resurrection in Wheaton.

For University Students we offer two different conferences and two chapel addresses appropriate for colleges and schools.

+ Returning Sons and Daughters - is a Friday evening and Saturday all day conference offering a redemptive response to the issues of human sexuality we face every day, either in ourselves or in the culture at large.  The three main sessions will address sexuality from the perspective of Creation, Fall and Redemption.

Afternoon workshops will specifically address the application of God’s love to marriage, homosexuality, abortion, dating, singleness and pornography.
Marriage: Navigating your journey through a lifetime of intimacy together.
Homosexuality: A Christian pastoral response to homosexuality.
Abortion:  Recovering from post-abortion syndrome and receiving God’s healing love.
Dating: Living with holy boundaries and knowing when to say “I love you.”
Singleness: The call to abstinence and even holy celibacy for life.
Pornography: Getting free and staying free from sexual images that hold the mind and heart captive.

The last session is a healing service with Holy Communion and anointing.  During this time, we will offer our sexuality to God afresh to be cleansed by His healing presence and strengthened by His Spirit for holiness.

Redeemed Lives has offered this conference in North American, England and Europe .

+ A Christian Answer to Homosexuality - Invite the gay community from your campus to come hear an apologetics lecture on homosexuality.  In 90 minutes, Mario covers the biological studies, the psychological approaches, theological viewpoints, his testimony and forty-five minutes of lively questions and answers with the audience.  It's a wonderful evening of showing the love of Jesus through genuine dialogue and respectful disagreement.  Campus ministries have hosted this event at Penn State, Bucknell University in Pennsylvania, Eastern Mennonite College and Seminary in Virginia, Carnegie-Mellon University in Pittsburgh, Whitman College in Washington State, Hope College in Michigan and Urbana 96.

+ Chapel Speaker - Mario gives his testimony entitled Redeeming Homosexuality and a second talk on Sexual Redemption.  Each last for about twenty minutes.  A tape of these two talks is available.  These have been presented as chapel services at Wheaton Academy, Wheaton College, Gordon College in Boston and Hope College in Michigan.
